Free patient information app for iOS and Android

Developed by clinicians at Guy’s and St Thomas’, MedTap is a free app that offers short informational videos and tips from NHS staff in clear language whenever you need it. It covers heart attack, atrial fibrillation, and common pill questions.

Arrhythmia Alliance UK: Working together to improve the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for all those affected by arrhythmias; resources for patients and clinicians.

British Heart Foundation: Information about inherited heart conditions for patients and healthcare professionals.

Cardiac Risk in the Young: Preventing young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families.

Cardiomyopathy UK: The heart muscle charity with support and information for patients with cardiomyopathy and those caring for them.

Evelina Children’s Heart Organisation (ECHO): Support for children and young people with heart conditions, and their families.

Genetic Alliance: Provides information, supports families and influences the services needed by individuals with genetic conditions.

Patients can self-refer for free psychological support using the NHS website.

CRY – Dedicated bereavement support programme to support families after the tragedy of the sudden cardiac death of a young person aged 35 or under
