Thursday 14 March marks World Kidney Day 2024 – a day for recognising the major impact that kidney disease has on people’s lives. This year’s theme is Kidney health for all, which reminds us of the need to making sure kidney care is accessible, whilst also promoting best practice in medications. The day provides a chance to reflect on disparities that exist in chronic kidney disease (CKD) – and the vital actions that must be taken to address these.
This World Kidney Day, it is important to remember that interventions must weigh towards those less served by routine health services and those with the worst outcomes. Collaboration is vital to bring about sustainable and equitable change.
